Coffee Jelly is the ultimate dessert, popular in Japan. You will also find it in many Asian dessert cafes. Coffee Jelly is a delicious combination of coffee-flavored jelly cubes and a thick, sweet, coffee-infused cream.

Coffee Jelly is the ultimate dessert because it combines two favorite treats, Jell-O & creamy ice cream flavor.

This is a simple recipe that you can whip up just in time for your next get together, or just for yourself while enjoying some “me time”. If you really want to take your coffee game to the next level, this is a dessert you need to try!

  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Unflavored Gelatin: We use Knox, Find HERE.
  • Condensed Milk
  • Heavy Cream

Coffee-Infused Cream:


Coffee Jelly:

  1. In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the instant coffee and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  2. In a large bowl, pour 1 cup of COLD water. Sprinkle the gelatin into the bowl of water. Let it stand for 1 minute or until it begins to bloom.
  3. Add the boiling coffee mixture to the bowl and stir constantly for about 3 minutes or until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour mixture into a baking dish and allow to cool for 8-10 minutes. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set completely.
  5. Once the gelatin has set, cut into cubes, whatever size you desire.

Coffee-Infused Cream:

  1. In a deep container pour heavy cream and condensed milk.
  2. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of instant coffee in 2 tablespoons of HOT water. Add to heavy cream and condensed milk.
  3. Stir until well combined.
  4. Pour coffee-infused cream over coffee jelly in desired cup or add coffee jelly to coffee-infused cream and chill until ready to enjoy!
